Golf Day 2011
The latest Old Wrexhamians Golf Day was held at Wrexham Golf Club on Friday 6th May. Once again we were blessed with fine weather and wonderful company! The course, as usual, was in excellent condition although the greens were incredibly "speedy" for us amateurs.
The guests, at the Reunion Dinner & Presentation, were treated to a fine "after dinner speech" by former "classics" master, Mr. Eric Room, in which he related some wonderful anecdotes about his former colleagues.
Our commiserations go to Brian "Abo" Jones who, having travelled from Spain to take part, was forced to withdraw from playing due to an injured back!
As this is the last Golf Day that Mike Kelly and I will be organising we'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who have supported us over the last five years and hope that you will continue to support our successors, David Jones and John Roberts.
